First,
we'll review your web site, talk with you about
your business, and review your competitors' web
sites as we research valuable keywords. We'll
research search engine keywords relevant to your
business and industry and will identify 10 quality
keywords for your site. The keywords we target
will be highly relevant to your site and will
be keywords that your potential customers actually
use when searching via the search engines. These
keywords will be then be used for both the SEO
and PPC aspects of your starter kit.
Second, we'll
launch 2 PPC ads using Google AdWords. The ads
are distributed across many highly visited Internet
sites including Google, AOL, EarthLink and Ask
Jeeves. We start with PPC before SEO because the
results are immediate. Within days of launching
your PPC ad campaign, you will see results. You
will pay anywhere from a few cents to a few dollars
when someone clicks on your ad, hence the term
pay per click. You pay nothing for impressions!
We'll include up to 5 keywords related to each
ad. We'll monitor the ads and will make changes
during the campaign to improve their effectiveness.
Based on your goals and budget, we'll also manage
the bids for the ads, to maintain your ad placement.
Third, we'll
optimize 3 of the web pages on your web site.
Usually, clients choose the home page and 2 other
highly visited pages. Using our web log analysis,
we can determine which of your pages receive the
most traffic. Or, we can target other pages that
have good content but don't yet produce high traffic.
You decide which 3 pages you want optimized and
we'll make them search engine friendly. Results
from an SEO campaign usually take 6-8 weeks to
materialize as the search engines find your optimized
pages and gradually update their search results.

Fourth, we'll
keep you abreast of your ad campaign. Initially,
we'll report to you each week and let you know
how your PPC ads are doing and how the SEO is
progressing. Once you're comfortable with the
campaign, we'll shift to reporting on a monthly
basis.
How much does
all of this cost? We give you a choice: fixed
fees or performance-based fees. The fixed fee
for our Search Engine Marketing Starter KitTM
is $799 per month for 3 months. The performance-based
fee for the starter kit includes a $999 setup
fee and then a 20¢ commission for each click
your site receives from the PPC ads we create
